A Physician with over 20 years of experience, he is also a renowned Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation physician. Dr Bekir Durmus also has expertise in Musculoskeletal System Disease, Rheumatological diseases, Sports Injuries, and Neurological rehabilitation. He went to Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1994, where he earned his graduation degree. Between 1994-96 he practiced as a general practitioner in Adiyaman Damlacik Health Center, and in 1996-1999 he became an assistant doctor at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and became a Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation specialist in 1999. He continued his work and became a specialist doctor at Istanbul Erenkoy Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital between 2000-05. Where in 2011, he acquired the title of assistant professor in Inonu University Faculty of Medicine, Department of FM&R. Between 2014-17, he became the hospital manager at Istanbul Erenkoy Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital. And in 2018, he got the title of professor at Istinye University Faculty of Health Sciences. Later in 2020, he transferred to the Istinye University Faculty of Medicine Department of FM&R for two years and as a head of the department of FM&R. Apart from his clinical background, Dr Bekir Durmus also did research in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and was presented with the award of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Physician for treating patients with advanced technologies.
